A little information about my daycare helpers...
Rocky Hession

My husband, Rocky, provides some comic relief when he is here.  He likes to get silly with the kids.  He helps out when he can.  Currently he is working at Fresh Thyme in the Deli prepping and slicing, and at H & R Block during tax season.

He has to complete a yearly background check, have yearly CPR and First Aid training and get federal fingerprinting done (just like me), in order to work with the children.

Sometimes, as he's able, he goes on a field trip with us.  Occasionally we invite children to go with us to church or to another fun activity on the weekends.

Kaylyn Hession

Our daughter, Kaylyn, is now 22 and grew up in the daycare!  She has learned a lot about children over the years and there are times when she does some really fun things with the children.

She completed Safe Sitters Babysitting training and the Red Cross Babysitters training.  She completed a Kid Care badge in American Heritage Girls and organized a Game Day event with several children and even put on a Kiddie Karnival here at our house and invited the neighbors!

She graduated from Indiana Academy in May 2017.  She helps out occasionally with the children when she's home.

Helpers

We have some little helpers now in our house!  They help the children learn about science and caring for a little creature.  We have Remy and Roxy the 2 little rat sisters.  They are so cute with their dumbo ears.  And 2 totally adorable little sugar gliders that sleep a lot during the day, but the kids that come early might get a glimpse of them!  They are Bindi & Bunji.  We have a tiny mouse too called Bitsy.  Kaylyn has a dwarf hamster named Elsa.

Sometimes the school age children are helpers!  We love that!  Sometimes they read to the younger children or they have little jobs like putting on the baby's bibs for lunch or helping bring things to us.  We've had many very willing helpers over the years.  Everyone is a helper when it's time to clean up!
