A little information about my daycare helpers...

Rocky Hession
My husband, Rocky, provides some comic relief when he is here. He likes to get silly with the kids. He helps out when he's here or if I need to go to an appointment or do an errand that can't wait.
Currently he is working at the Fairfield Township Office doing their bookkeeping. In the evenings he's working part time at Fresh Thyme in the Deli prepping and slicing, and at H & R Block during tax season.
He has to complete a yearly background check, have yearly CPR and First Aid training and get federal fingerprinting done (just like me), in order to work with the children.
A Little More...
Sometimes, as he's able, he goes on a field trip with us. Occasionally we invite children to go with us to church or to another fun activity on the weekends.
We got married in 1996 and have one daughter, Kaylyn Hession. She used to help in daycare too when she was here. She now lives in Virginia.
We are Seventh-day Adventist Christians and teach the children basic things about God and His love for us. Or we might watch a video about Christmas or Easter or some other Christian theme and things about His creation. I love animals and love to share interesting insects or sometimes I find a snake to show them! Rocky brought home a tiny tree frog one time to show the kids!
Helpers
We have had different little helpers in our house over the years. Some in the past were small parrots, hamsters, rats, and even sugar gliders! They help the children learn about science and caring for a little creature. Currently we have 2 budgies or "Budgerigars" which is what these little parakeets are called. They are Indy and Kiwi.
Sometimes the school age children are helpers! We love that! Sometimes they read to the younger children or they have little jobs like putting on the baby's bibs for lunch or helping bring things to us. We've had many very willing helpers over the years. Everyone is a helper when it's time to clean up!
